One of the most important responsibilities I have as an Okanagan wedding planner is connecting you with the right vendors. My clients place a lot of trust in my ability to seek out vendors that complement their style, play off their personality, and work within their budget. I’m not going to lie, this may mean that in my first year of business I had A LOT of coffee dates – but hey what’s not too love about that! Our team have been so fortunate to work with so many amazing and talented “artists” (essentially) that we thought it would be a great opportunity to share a little about them here on our blog!
Every so often we will be featuring one of our favourite local vendors in a variety of categories from DJ’s to caterers and everyone in between, to give you a little glimpse into their world. And who knows, perhaps they might even speak your language and be someone you might want around on your wedding day…??
We thought we would kick off our Vendor In Focus with local photographer Tara Peach of Tara Peach Photography. We love working with Tara and really enjoyed catching up with her recently. Tara has a very genuine, natural approach and focuses on “… the real stuff. I wanna get the big moments, the in-betweens, the ones you don’t think anyone else is watching. I’m not about stiff stagnant poses, I’m about the genuine, quirky, loving, quiet, loud, fun, and unique love that you have. all those factors together will show what true love is. I consider myself a craftswomen more than a story teller, I want to capture your love and the promises you guys are making to each other…”
Describe your ultimate Okanagan day?
Mmm toss up between being in the mountains riding my horse, or camping…. mountains, fresh air, lakeside or riverside, fire going, good friends, great wine, kids playing.
What are you currently reading or have you read lately?
Ahh I love to read, it’s just been so long since I’ve sat down to read anything besides kids books. The last book I read was the Outlander Series.
Describe yourself in 3 words or less?
Big Dreamer, adventurous, soft-hearted
What’s your favourite 80’s jam?
Oh this is a TOUGH one – likely Footloose. Basically my theme song growing up.
If you were a cocktail, which would you be?
I love wine…but that’s not a cocktail. So likely a Caesar..mmmm yum
